President-elect Donald Trump used social media to share a parody video that humorously targeted Democrats during the Thanksgiving holiday. The video, inspired by the film "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," features a computer-generated President Joe Biden with his head superimposed on the character of Clark Griswold, originally played by Chevy Chase.
In the 35-second clip shared on Truth Social, Biden's character remarks about the turkey: "If this turkey tastes half as good as it looks, I think we’re all in for a very big treat." Other political figures also appear in the parody. Representative Adam Schiff is portrayed as Cousin Eddie, while Vice President Kamala Harris plays Catherine, both characters from the original movie.
The scene shifts to First Lady Jill Biden depicted as Ellen Griswold and includes Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a comical dinner setting. The video has garnered attention online and was also reported by The New York Post under the headline "Trump roasts Dems with ‘Christmas Vacation’ turkey parody video on Thanksgiving."
Additionally, JD Vance joined in on the holiday spirit by tweeting his own content related to the event.
The videos shared by Trump and Vance were posted alongside messages wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving, including those they referred to as "Radical Left Lunatics."
