On Tuesday night, Nicole Shanahan, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s running mate, appeared on FOX News with Jesse Watters to discuss Kennedy's platform aimed at making America healthy again.

Last Friday, following the Democratic National Convention, Kennedy suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump for president. This decision has caused significant reactions within liberal circles and media outlets. These are the same groups that remained silent when the Democratic Party denied Kennedy a fair primary and when Joe Biden refused his requests for Secret Service protection despite the assassinations of his father and uncle in the 1960s.

Earlier on Tuesday, Shanahan tweeted about her changing perspective since running for vice president alongside Kennedy. She stated: "I’ll admit I used to kind of roll my eyes when people claimed that President Trump was being 'persecuted.' I was looking at it through the distorted filter of the media. Well, I just completed my first cross-examination in our second New York Ballot Access case, where the DNC-aligned PAC attorneys questioned me like a criminal. OK, I get it now. Our justice system is clearly being co-opted and abused by nefarious people with malevolent political agendas."

During her appearance on FOX News, Shanahan expressed concern over what she perceives as attacks from within her own party: "This is wild. I’m asking myself what happened to the party of when they go low, we go high because right now they’re just going lower and lower and lower. I’m shocked. I’m saddened. I’m worried for them; honestly, they’ve lost their soul."

Shanahan praised Kennedy as one of the kindest individuals she knows: "He said it the other day. He was like, 'I don’t have a bone of revenge in my body.' This is somebody who’s been attacked over years now from all different angles." She added that Kennedy advised her to respond to attacks with kindness.

When asked about their health initiative slogan "Make America Healthy Again," Shanahan outlined their approach: "We have the highest chronic health disease rate of any modern nation... We’re going to decouple big pharma from our government agencies... We’re not going to just whack a mole with these diseases anymore."

Jesse Watters highlighted concerns about censorship during the pandemic and Mark Zuckerberg's recent admissions regarding content suppression under pressure from officials. In response, Shanahan called for transparency from Zuckerberg: "Be transparent... Who were the officials that went to you and asked you to censor? Or who was on that list?"

The interview provided insights into both Shanahan's personal experiences and broader campaign goals concerning public health and freedom of speech.
