The Democratic National Convention (DNC) commenced last week in Chicago, Illinois, and has faced criticism for its focus on former President Donald Trump. According to Breitbart, speakers at the event mentioned Trump over 130 times, more frequently than addressing key issues such as crime, inflation, and border security.

Comedian Jon Stewart also critiqued the DNC's perceived hypocrisies. On his show, Stewart remarked, "At their convention, they had union leaders and CEOs. They had Democratic Party icons and lifelong Republicans. They had a guy yelling, ‘Screw the billionaires!’ followed immediately by a very happy billionaire," referencing Bernie Sanders and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker.

Stewart further highlighted contradictions within the party regarding their stance on billionaires funding campaigns. "It’s all okay if it’s our billionaire. I don’t like billionaires, but he’s all right," he said to audience laughter.

Additionally, Stewart mocked Democrats for selective outrage about educational backgrounds. He pointed out how figures like Tim Walz criticized JD Vance for being a Yale Law graduate while many prominent Democrats are also Yale alumni, including Hillary Clinton and Sen. Amy Klobuchar. "They had guys making fun of people for going to a bunch of people who went to Yale," Stewart noted.

In another segment of his critique, Stewart humorously addressed Kamala Harris's record on prosecuting sexual predators while showing Bill Clinton's face on-screen, which drew laughter from the audience.
