Actor William Shatner has responded to recent reports about his health following claims that he was hospitalized due to a medical emergency. On Thursday, TMZ reported that emergency crews arrived at Shatner’s home on Wednesday and transported him to a local hospital via a Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance. According to the report, Shatner’s agent, Harry Gold, stated the actor experienced a medical episode related to blood sugar issues.

Shatner addressed these reports on Instagram, writing, “Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.” He added, “I over indulged. I thank you all for caring but I’m perfectly fine.”

In addition to his social media post, Shatner advised fans not to trust information from tabloids or artificial intelligence: “I keep telling you all: don’t trust tabloids or AI!”

The rumors about his health circulated widely after TMZ published its story regarding the incident at his Los Angeles home. Mass Live also reported that Shatner reassured fans about his condition through a lighthearted Instagram post featuring the same message.

In 2024, Shatner disclosed in an interview that he had previously been diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma and was told by doctors he had only five months to live. Despite this prognosis, he overcame the illness.

William Shatner is currently 94 years old.
