WABE: College Leadership Joins ‘A Closer Look with Rose Scott’ to Discuss Mellon Grant

On Friday, July 22, President Leocadia Zak and Dr. Yves-Rose Porcena, vice president for equity and inclusion, joined “A Closer Look with Rose Scott” on Atlanta’s National Public Radio (NRP) station WABE 90.1 to elevate Agnes Scott College’s plans for its recent Mellon Foundation grant. 

The college will use the grant funds to recognize the lives of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artisans and workers who built Agnes Scott’s campus and the city of Decatur. Through learning opportunities, research and documentation, and leadership programming, the Agnes Scott community will partner with local organizations to ensure these people’s contributions are not forgotten.
