State Representative Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), together with the City of Tucker, will hold a transportation town hall on September 11, 2025. The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Tucker City Hall in Tucker, Georgia.

According to Rep. Davis, “Transportation directly impacts the quality of life, safety and economic growth in our communities. This town hall provides an opportunity for residents to hear updates, ask questions and ensure their voices are heard as these major projects move forward.”

Cara Schroeder, Tucker City Council District 2 Post 1 representative, stated, “As a City Council Representative, it is my priority to continue my efforts to focus on transportation solutions for my voters. I promised to make major changes to our infrastructure when I was elected. We’ve worked together on many concerns with positive solutions that impact safer roads and intersections.”

The meeting will provide information about ongoing and upcoming transportation projects affecting Tucker and nearby areas. The agenda includes updates from the City of Tucker on its transportation initiatives and a presentation by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) about the I-285 Top End Express Lane project.

Rep. Davis invites residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to attend and participate in discussions regarding these projects.

Jon G. Burns has served as a Republican member of the Georgia State House since his election in 2005, representing the state’s 159th House District after Ray Holland.
