Yesterday, The Gateway Pundit reported on a claim by former FBI Agent Kyle Seraphin that all Executive Assistant Directors (EADs) of the FBI were to be terminated if they had not resigned by Monday, February 3rd. According to Seraphin, there are six EADs in the FBI, ranking below the Director, Deputy Director, and Associate Deputy Director. He also mentioned that around 25 Special Agents in Charge faced a similar ultimatum.

An email from acting Director Brian Driscoll confirmed that "eight senior FBI executives are to be terminated" unless they retire beforehand. Driscoll's email was reviewed by The Gateway Pundit and outlined requirements for each field office to submit a list of all personnel involved in January 6th investigations or prosecutions by noon on Tuesday, February 4th.

The memo specified the need for information about "all current and former FBI personnel assigned at any time to investigations and/or prosecutions relating to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021; and United States v Haniyeh." This includes relevant supervisory personnel in FBI regional offices, field divisions, and headquarters.

Driscoll stated: "We understand there's a lot of media reporting and rumors surrounding potential changes at the FBI. This includes reporting and rumors about actions very seriously impact our workforce."

He added: "Upon timely receipt of the requested information, the Office of the Deputy Attorney General will commence a review process to determine whether any additional personnel actions are necessary."

The memo indicated this request covers thousands of employees across the country who have supported these investigative efforts. Driscoll emphasized adherence to law and policy: "As we've said since the moment we agreed to take on these roles, we are going to follow the law, follow FBI policy, and do what's in the best interest of the workforce and the American people - always."

The email also noted involvement in investigations related to United States v Haniyeh. This case charged Ismail Haniyeh and five other Hamas leaders with multiple terrorism-related offenses. It included charges like conspiracy to provide material support resulting in death and conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction.

The charges against Haniyeh were initially filed under seal on February 1, 2024, but later unsealed on September 3, 2024. Haniyeh was reportedly killed by Israeli forces in July 2024.
