The recent outcome of the 2024 election has sparked discussions about the diminishing influence of Hollywood celebrities in political matters. A top talent manager from Hollywood expressed that this marks a significant shift from previous years, particularly during the Obama era when celebrity endorsements were seen as impactful.

In the past, stars eagerly voiced their support for Barack Obama, believing their backing contributed to his presidential victories. However, in 2024, public interest in celebrity political endorsements seemed to wane. Many celebrities supported Kamala Harris's campaign against President Donald Trump, but their efforts did not sway the election results.

A prominent Hollywood talent manager commented on this change, telling Vulture: “Hollywood doesn’t matter as much as it thinks it matters. You had the biggest stars in the world support Kamala Harris. She couldn’t have drawn more powerful advocates. And it didn’t move the needle. What does that tell you? It’s unsettling because the people and things you hold in high esteem don’t drive the culture."

As reported by Breitbart News, numerous A-list celebrities endorsed Harris with an intense wave of support during her campaign's final days. Among those who publicly backed her were Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Stiller, Harrison Ford, Jennifer Lopez, and Julia Roberts.

The talent manager's remarks reflect a growing sentiment among Americans who appear increasingly indifferent to celebrities' opinions on political issues.
