Paul Perez, President of the Border Patrol Union, has issued a stern warning to sanctuary cities led by Democrats. During an appearance on FOX News, Perez cautioned these cities against opposing the incoming Trump administration's deportation plans. He emphasized that any interference would be "dealt with."

Illegal immigration was a significant issue in the 2024 election, contributing to Donald Trump's electoral success. According to Perez, the American public expects decisive action on this matter.

Perez stated that Democratic officials should understand that "federal law supersedes state law." He warned that President-elect Trump is assembling top legal experts to enforce consequences for those who obstruct his administration's policies.

"Anybody that's going to get in the way is going to be dealt with," Perez remarked during his appearance on Fox News’s America Reports. He stressed the seriousness of the situation and urged sanctuary cities to heed the administration's warnings.

Tom Homan, designated as Trump's "border czar," has also advised state officials like California Governor Gavin Newsom to step aside. Homan reiterated that ignoring these directives could have serious repercussions for Democrats.

Perez concluded by stating, "They're going to do the job of protecting Americans," urging sanctuary jurisdictions to comply with federal mandates.
