Former FBI scientist Dr. Jason Bannan has made claims regarding the Biden administration's handling of evidence linking COVID-19 to a lab leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. According to Bannan, critical evidence was sidelined, despite the growing support for the lab-leak theory from various experts and organizations.

Initially dismissed as a conspiracy theory, the lab-leak hypothesis has gained traction over time. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and Dr. Anthony Fauci have consistently supported the animal-to-human transmission theory, while Big Tech and mainstream media have censored discussions on alternative origins.

The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic recently concluded its investigation into COVID-19 with a report titled “After Action Review of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Lessons Learned and a Path Forward.” The report suggests that COVID-19 likely emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, citing several arguments in favor of this theory.

Earlier reports by The Gateway Pundit suggested that Asia’s only Level 4 virology lab in Wuhan was potentially the pandemic's epicenter. These claims were initially criticized but later received acknowledgment from some media outlets and officials who admitted that a lab origin could not be ruled out.

Documents released by the U.S. State Department revealed knowledge of a potential lab leak since July 2020. The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic has called for declassification of these documents to inform the public about COVID-19's origins.

Dr. Bannan's recent statements highlight an alleged effort by President Biden's administration to suppress evidence supporting a lab-leak origin. He claims that an FBI analysis suggesting "moderate confidence" in this theory was excluded from high-level intelligence briefings with President Biden in 2021.

According to reports, no FBI official attended an August 2021 White House meeting where intelligence agencies presented their findings on COVID-19's origins. At this meeting, most agencies supported natural transmission theories except for the FBI.

“Being the only agency that assessed that a laboratory origin was more likely, and the agency that expressed the highest level of confidence in its analysis of the source of the pandemic, we anticipated the FBI would be asked to attend,” said Jason Bannan to The Wall Street Journal.

“I find it surprising that the White House didn’t ask.”
