Byron York, a conservative commentator from the Washington Examiner, appeared on FOX News recently to discuss President Trump's nomination of Pam Bondi for Attorney General. York expressed confidence in Bondi's confirmation, stating it would be straightforward unless unforeseen circumstances arise.
York remarked, "Her appointment will be a big relief to the Senate Republicans who opposed Gaetz or were on the fence. They will be happy to support Pam Bondi."
Pam Bondi, who previously served as Florida's Attorney General from 2011 to 2019, has undergone extensive vetting due to her prior role. Support for Bondi's nomination extends beyond York. Senator Lindsey Graham praised the decision with enthusiasm: “Well done, Mr. President. Picking Pam Bondi for Attorney General is a grand slam, touchdown, hole in one, ace, hat trick, slam dunk, Olympic gold medal pick.” He anticipates a swift confirmation process.
Senator Mike Lee of Utah also expressed his support via social media: “I look forward to supporting her nomination in the Senate.”
While some Democrats may oppose Bondi's nomination for various reasons, supporters believe she is well-equipped for the position and has an impressive resume that underscores her qualifications.
