President Trump recently addressed a rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he received a warm reception from the crowd. During his speech, he criticized several aspects of the current administration and commented on international events.
Trump condemned the recent attack on Israel by Hezbollah, which resulted in casualties among children. He expressed sympathy for the affected families, stating, “Our hearts go out to the families of these innocent children. No parent should have to suffer the terrible loss of a child at the hands of terrorists.” He further claimed that such incidents would not have occurred under his presidency: “They wouldn’t have done this if I were the President, they wouldn’t have done it, and they didn’t.”
The former president also criticized President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their handling of domestic issues. He pointed to inflation as a significant problem facing the country and attributed it to what he described as incompetence within the current administration: “Inflation is destroying our country. None of it would have happened it would have ever happened if we, if we were President, it wouldn’t have happened. It’s a dangerous and terrible time for the world and it’s almost the entire fault of incompetent Biden/Harris administration.”
In addition to economic concerns, Trump took aim at Vice President Harris's role as "border czar," criticizing her approach to border security: “She let it be known, ‘I am the border czar’ and then she never went to the border.” He added his frustration with perceived governmental inefficiencies: “I get angry at the incompetence that I witness every single day.”
Trump also revisited previous criticisms regarding Harris's support for environmental policies like the Green New Deal. He argued against her stance on energy resources: “The $100 trillion green new scam to abolish oil, coal and natural gas. She pledged to ban fracking. No fracking, oh that’s gonna do well in Pennsylvania.” Trump emphasized past statements made by Harris about fracking with reference to recorded evidence: “The beautiful thing about modern technology is when you say something, you are screwed if it’s bad. If you say it wrong, you are screwed. She said ‘I never said about fracking,’ then we play about 90 tapes.”
