Nina Jankowicz, who once held the position of executive director at the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board, recently lost a defamation lawsuit against FOX News. The legal proceedings concluded with a federal judge in Delaware, Judge Colm F. Connolly, dismissing her complaint.

Jankowicz had targeted several FOX News hosts, including Maria Bartiromo, Sean Hannity, and former host Tucker Carlson. She alleged that their on-air commentary demeaned and defamed her using highly personal language. This criticism stemmed from accusations that she was enforcing government-backed censorship of free speech—claims she denied.

The lawsuit argued that such statements endangered her personal safety and professional career, ultimately leading to her resignation from the disbanded board.

Despite this legal setback, Jankowicz continues to address issues surrounding disinformation on social media platforms. As CEO of The American Sunlight Project, she remarked on the evolving landscape: "The environment has become a lot more polluted when it comes to disinformation," emphasizing its complexity and urging voters to remain vigilant.

This dismissal represents a significant victory for FOX News Media and its parent company Fox Corp. They have maintained that they did not engage in defamation against Jankowicz or portray her as a proponent of censorship.
