The Kamala Harris campaign has appointed Brian Fallon as its new communications director. Fallon previously served as a spokesman for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. Following the election, he joined Demand Justice, an activist group advocating for the expansion of the United States Supreme Court.

Fallon has expressed support for defunding the police, a stance that has been controversial among both Democrat and Republican voters. In 2020, during the Black Lives Matter protests, he tweeted his support for this position. It is unclear if his views have evolved since then.

Breitbart News highlighted Fallon's past call to "Defund the Police," noting that his current bio on X reads "Harris for President." The Washington Free Beacon reported that Fallon has also urged elderly public officials to retire and once mocked President Joe Biden during a political debate.

His career includes roles as a spokesman for Clinton's campaign and head of Demand Justice. During his time at Demand Justice, Fallon led efforts to encourage Supreme Court justice Stephen Breyer to retire due to age. He also criticized Biden in 2019, commenting on social media about Biden's performance in a Democratic debate.

Vice President Harris may face questions regarding her association with Fallon's views on defunding the police, which have been linked to challenges faced by various American cities.
