As a media organization dedicated to providing accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we believe access to such public records is essential for fulfilling our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and ensuring transparency for the public.
We have also expressed our eligibility for a fee waiver as a media professional involved in gathering and reporting news to the public. We await Dekalb County's response and will continue to strive for transparency in local government operations.
