The streambank in Halpern Park is in need of restoration! Streams have a crucial role in supporting life in their ecosystems. Unfortunately, they often fall victim to erosion , invasive plant species, and pollution. We'll be hosting an event this Earth Day, April 22nd, to restore our streambank at Halpern Park!
At this event, we plan to remove invasive plant species from the area and replace them with native shrubs and flowers! These plants will help prevent erosion, fortify the ecosystem, and create a pollution filter. The event will be Saturday, April 22nd from 8am to 12pm. If you'd like to join us you can sign up here!
