DeKalb County issued 172,125 absentee ballots with 0.3% rejected in general election

DeKalb County issued 172,125 absentee ballots in the general election with 0.3 percent rejected, according to the Georgia Secretary of State.

There are 568,921 citizens of the age of 18 in the county. Of the ballots issued, 73.8 percent were accepted while 19.1 percent were canceled.

According to the Pew Research Center, about 65 million votes were cast via mail in the 2020 general election. In 2016, 1.2 percent of absentee votes weren't counted for various reasons, according to the Election Administration and Voting Survey.
