The SPLOST II Resident Review Committee in DeKalb County will hold a special orientation meeting on February 4, 2026. The session is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at 178 Sams Street, Decatur, Georgia, in Multipurpose Room A1201.

The agenda includes several topics such as the committee’s mission, orientation and meeting procedures, attendance requirements, use of Robert’s Rules of Order, setting meeting minutes and agendas, establishing the 2026 committee calendar, reporting obligations, an overview of the SPLOST program, and time for public comment.

Recent data shows that enrollment in DeKalb County schools decreased by 2.2% during the 2022-23 academic year compared to the previous year (https://www.gadoe.org/). In total, there were 98,287 students enrolled during that period (https://www.gadoe.org/). White students represented the third largest ethnic group in these schools at 14% of total enrollment (https://www.gadoe.org/).
