Six high schools in the DeKalb County School District have been ranked among the top 100 in Georgia, according to U.S. News and World Report. The recognized schools are DeKalb School of the Arts (10), DeKalb Early College Academy (34), Chamblee High School (38), Arabia Mountain High School (82), Druid Hills High School (91), and Dunwoody High School (96).
“These schools should be extremely proud of the academic achievements that helped earn this remarkable distinction,” said DCSD Superintendent Dr. Devon Q. Horton. “This is a tremendous honor, and we are proud of our hardworking students, teachers, staff, families, and community partners who put in the effort to take our high schools to New Levels and New Heights.”
U.S. News evaluated more than 24,000 public high schools across all states and the District of Columbia for its rankings. Other DCSD high schools also performed well: Lakeside High School was ranked 120th, Southwest DeKalb High School 144th, and Tucker High School 157th in Georgia.
More information about these rankings can be found on the U.S. News & World Report website.
