Conservative activist Scott Presler has identified voter turnout as the main challenge for Republicans in upcoming elections. Presler, known for his nationwide efforts to register Republican voters, discussed this issue during a recent interview with Breitbart News.

Presler has previously been credited with helping Donald Trump win Pennsylvania by spending significant time registering new Republican voters in the state. He told Breitbart News that motivating Republicans to vote remains crucial: “The biggest hurdle to winning upcoming elections is getting Republicans to continue to turn out to vote,” said Presler.

He emphasized that overcoming skepticism among voters was essential in past elections. “We had to beat the cheat by making the election too big to rig. We did. We won the popular vote. We won all seven swing states. We won Pennsylvania by 120,000 votes,” Presler said. Looking ahead, he added, “Our biggest hurdle is getting every beautiful Trump supporter and every beautiful Republican to vote every election.”

Presler expressed concern about declining turnout outside of presidential years: “We are now the low-propensity party. Low propensity means fewer votes in quote unquote off year elections, fewer votes in midterm elections. Sure, they’ll come out for Trump. They’ll come out for JD Vance, but are they going to come out in 2025, 2026, 2027?” He highlighted the importance of his organization’s efforts: “That’s why the work that we do at earlyvoteaction.com, Early Vote Action, is so important — engaging voters,” adding that about 30 percent of Christians are not registered to vote.

Currently focused on New Jersey’s fall elections, Presler urged support for Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli and pointed out how electing a Republican governor could shift policy on issues such as sanctuary status and election integrity.

Mail-in ballot return data from New Jersey shows varying participation rates among different groups ahead of early in-person voting beginning October 25th. Presler stressed that high turnout will be necessary for Republicans if they hope to secure victories in states like New Jersey and Virginia this November.
