On February 11, 2023 officers were dispatched to a person shot at the Sage Woodfire Tavern at 4505 Ashford Dunwoody Rd at 10:52pm. A male and female couple were having dinner inside the restaurant and left without paying for their meal. The security guard at the business stopped them in the parking lot and asked them to pay the bill. A brief altercation occurred between the security guard and the couple. The male pulled a gun, shot the security guard in the hand and shoulder, and then fled the scene. The victim was transported to Grady Hospital in stable condition.
This is still an active investigation and there are no other details to release at this time.
