Join Curator of Collections John Tilford, as he discusses this remarkably rare vessel, made by George Fletcher — one of the few identifiable black potters of old Edgefield, South Carolina.

Looking for a little more art and inspiration in your week? The Oglethorpe University Museum of Art hosts “5-Minute Museum,” a live video series brought straight to your phone or computer every week via Facebook Live. For just five minutes, Museum Director Elizabeth Peterson and Curator of Collections John Daniel Tilford will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the art currently on display at the Oglethorpe Museum and across campus.
