Liberal political commentator Keith Olbermann deleted a social media post in which he appeared to threaten CNN analyst Scott Jennings. The incident followed a period of heightened tensions online, including recent comments by Olbermann after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

According to screenshots shared by Townhall columnist Dustin Grage, Olbermann’s deleted post on X (formerly Twitter) read: “You’re next motherf–ker.” In another deleted tweet, Olbermann wrote, “But keep mugging to the camera.” These posts were later retweeted by Jennings, who tagged FBI Director Kash Patel.

Olbermann’s remarks were reportedly in response to a tweet from Jennings about ABC reinstating late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel had been temporarily taken off air for making offensive comments related to Kirk’s assassination.

The tweets drew criticism from several users on social media. Brent Scher commented, “Olbermann belongs in an institution,” while Jim Hanson noted that after Kirk’s assassination, “This is beyond the pale.” Scott Jennings also brought the matter to the attention of authorities by tagging FBI Director Kash Patel in his retweet.

The deleted posts circulated widely before being removed from Olbermann’s account. As of now, there has been no public statement from either CNN or Keith Olbermann regarding the incident.
