After testifying before Congress about her time as White House press secretary under President Joe Biden, Karine Jean-Pierre declined to answer questions from reporters. The incident took place following a closed-door interview with House Oversight Committee investigators regarding her knowledge of the president’s health and the so-called “autopen scandal.”

Reporters attempted to ask Jean-Pierre about what she knew concerning Biden’s physical and mental health, but she left quickly, entering a waiting SUV without comment.

According to FOX News Digital, Jean-Pierre told investigators that talking points on Biden’s health were tightly controlled at the senior level. She stated that she did not observe any change in President Biden’s competency over the years she worked for him, from 2009 to 2025. However, she acknowledged that “President Biden is not the same speaker he was when she met him,” according to a source familiar with the interview. The source also noted: “She does not know why his speaking changed and never asked him.”

Jean-Pierre neither spoke to reporters before entering nor after leaving the nearly five-hour transcribed interview near Capitol Hill.
