Rep. Hank Johnson, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 4th district, has recently shared his views and sentiments on various topics through a series of tweets. Known for his dedication to public service since replacing Cynthia McKinney in 2007, Johnson continues to voice his opinions on current political matters and personal reflections.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. Hank Johnson expressed support for Senate Democrats’ efforts to reach a bipartisan agreement on government funding following significant budget cuts attributed to “Co-President Musk.” He stated, “I commend Senate Democrats for insisting that we reach a bipartisan agreement to fund what’s left of our government after Co-President Musk’s chainsaw cuts.” Additionally, he endorsed a four-week extension aimed at providing Congress with additional time to finalize a deal and affirmed his commitment to remain in Washington D.C. as necessary.

Later that day, Johnson issued a statement regarding the passing of fellow Congressman Raúl Grijalva. The tweet read simply: “Rep. Hank Johnson’s Statement on Passing of Rep. Raúl Grijalva.”

In another post from the same day, Rep. Johnson extended holiday greetings related to Purim celebrations in Georgia’s 4th District and beyond by tweeting: “To all who are celebrating tonight and tomorrow in GA-04 and beyond, Chag Purim Sameach!”
