During a recent episode of his show, Greg Gutfeld discussed the relationship between working class voters and law enforcement, focusing on what he described as the left’s negative view of police.
Gutfeld argued that those on the left do not oppose the concept of policing itself, but rather wish to take on that role themselves. He stated: “There’s not a single issue Democrats champion that resonates with the blue-collar American. The only contact they would have with one is hiring a guy to install in the women’s bathroom. And because of DEI the person they hire would be an amputee who identifies as a carrot. The whole party is a swill of identity extremism, luxury belief, and victimhood. They loved open borders because migrants aren’t taking jobs reserved for art history majors. They hate cops because they want to be the ones telling everybody what to do and they still resent the fact that Cagney & Lacey weren’t lesbians. Aren’t we all?”
He continued: “They also think gender is just an opinion until a man says something they don’t like. Their party leaders are career politicians would never had a real job. Chuck Schumer couldn’t change a tire if you gave him AAA phone number and he would only change a light bulb if you held his hairpiece for ransom…”
Gutfeld further criticized Democratic Party leadership and its approach to blue-collar Americans: “Plus, their loudest voices are showboating radicals straight out of academia who think two plus two equals whatever pisses off their dads. We know what blue-collar is, mechanics, truck drivers, that guy who holds up the slow sign. Which was a valuable tool every time Joe Biden had to drive to another casket fitting. These are people who value their paychecks, safe streets, hard work and family. Democrats ignore that and embraced what blue-collar wasn’t: nonbinary, trans, climate extremism, race theory, oppression, loafers and demand and you pay their student loans. Saying Democrats still exist when the party has been hijacked by unhinged, bitter activists.”
A video clip from this segment was shared online under the title “Blue-Collar Blues: Dems Lose the Working Man.”
The commentary comes amid ongoing debates about law enforcement policies and political messaging aimed at working class voters.
