Greg Gutfeld, host of Fox News Channel’s “Gutfeld!,” made his first appearance on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last Thursday. According to Nielsen Media Research data, the episode attracted 1.7 million viewers, which is the highest audience for the program in 2025 and represents a 57% increase compared to its year-to-date average of 1.1 million viewers.
Gutfeld joined Fallon at Studio 6B in Rockefeller Center, near Fox News Media’s headquarters in Manhattan. The episode also featured the Jonas Brothers as guests. The YouTube clip of Gutfeld’s interview reached nearly 1 million views by Tuesday afternoon, making it the most-watched interview on Fallon’s channel in almost a month.
In addition to total viewership gains, Gutfeld’s appearance brought in 294,000 viewers aged 25-54, an important demographic for advertisers. This figure marked a 13% increase from the show’s average for that age group in 2025.
A tweet from TV News Now stated: “TV RATINGS: King of Late Night @greggutfeld delivered ‘The Tonight Show’s’ biggest audience of 2025 last week, boosting the show’s viewership by 57% for his appearance.”
Industry observers are noting whether this ratings surge will influence late-night programs to invite more right-leaning guests.
