George Conway, a lawyer known for his criticism of former President Donald Trump, is reportedly considering running for Congress in New York. According to CNN, Conway may enter the Democratic primary for New York’s 12th Congressional District, which covers parts of Manhattan and is currently represented by Rep. Jerry Nadler. Nadler recently announced he would not seek reelection.

A source familiar with the situation told CNN that Conway, who has been an independent, is actively considering a campaign for the seat being vacated by Nadler. The district is expected to see a competitive primary race. Jack Schlossberg, grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, also entered the race this week.

Conway has been involved in conservative legal circles and was previously married to Kellyanne Conway, who managed Trump’s first presidential campaign and later worked in the White House. After breaking with Trump, George Conway became one of his most vocal critics.

Annie Karni reported on social media that “Conway has hired the Dem pollster Anna Greenberg and is looking for an NYC apartment as he gets closer to run for Nadler’s seat + tells potential donors that he has does not have ‘any more effs to give’ and ‘I want to fight these mothers.'”
