Erika Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, has publicly addressed the ongoing debate over whether cameras should be allowed in the courtroom during the trial of Tyler Robinson, who is accused of assassinating her husband. The defense team for Robinson, 22, has requested that cameras be banned from the proceedings.

Speaking to Fox News’ Jesse Watters, Erika Kirk shared her perspective on the matter. “There were cameras all over my husband when he was murdered,” she said. “There have been cameras all over my friends and family mourning.”

She continued, “There have been cameras all over me, analyzing my every move, analyzing my every smile, my every tear. We deserve to have cameras in there.”

Kirk questioned the reasoning behind banning cameras from the trial: “Why not be transparent?” she asked. “There’s nothing to hide. I know there’s not, because I’ve seen what the case is built on.”

She added, “Let everyone see what true evil is. This is something that could impact a generation and generations to come.”

The comments came after Jesse Watters asked how she felt about the defense wanting to ban cameras in the courtroom.
