The Dunwoody Police Department is currently in full swing with their recruitment and application process for men and women interested in a career in law enforcement within the City of Dunwoody. “Traditional means of recruitment initiatives are no longer enough to acquire quality candidates,” said Lieutenant Andrew Fondas, Recruiting and Training Coordinator for the Department. “To better position ourselves for talented applicants from diverse backgrounds, we made a considered effort to stay ahead of the curve and appeal to the younger generation who increasingly get their news and information through online social media sources.”
The Dunwoody Police Department is comprised of a diverse group of 64 sworn members and 14 civilian employees. The department is organized into three divisions: the Patrol division, the Criminal Investigations division and the Administrative division. Within each division, the department offers an array of opportunities for professional and career development.
