DeKalb County Police to Host Annual Citizens Police Academy

Applications are now being accepted for the DeKalb County Police Department’s Annual Citizens Police Academy.

This is an opportunity for DeKalb County residents to learn how their police department works. During the four-week virtual program, which will begin August 24, participants will be given a departmental overview, which will include crisis intervention, police scenarios, use of force policies, and more. Participants must be at least 21 years old, live or work in DeKalb County, possess no prior felonies and consent to a background check.

Applications can be requested by emailing smrobinson@dekalbcountyga.gov. The deadline to apply is Aug. 17.
