All DeKalb County government offices, buildings, and in-person county-sponsored programs will remain closed through Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to ongoing winter weather conditions. The closure affects all county employees, who are instructed not to report to county facilities during this period. Employees who can work remotely are expected to do so unless otherwise directed by their department leadership. Those whose duties cannot be performed virtually will receive instructions from their respective departments.

Essential personnel are required to continue reporting for duty as needed to support public safety, emergency response, infrastructure, and other critical services.

Regularly scheduled meetings of the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners will proceed as planned but will be held virtually. The county states that this measure is intended “to ensure continuity of government operations and public access.” Information on how to attend these meetings virtually is available at www.dekalbcountyga.gov.

County leadership and emergency management officials will keep monitoring weather conditions and assessing operational impacts. An update regarding operations for Wednesday is expected on Tuesday.

Residents and employees are encouraged to monitor official DeKalb County communication channels for updates.
