A community festival titled “A Taste of East Memorial Drive – Good Neighbors Day Out” is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at The Atrium Performing Arts Center in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The event will run from noon to 7:00 PM and is free to the public.
The festival is organized by the Center for Truth and Healing (CFTH) in partnership with several local organizations including the Brantley Foundation, East Memorial Drive Revitalization Foundation (EMDRF), Brinca the Equalyzer, and JenCare Senior Medical Centers. Organizers aim to highlight local culture, businesses, and individuals who have made a positive impact on the community.
Attendees can expect live music both indoors and outdoors throughout the day. There will be DJ zones providing music for visitors. Food trucks and vendors will offer a variety of cuisines in a designated food zone. Children’s activities include games, crafts, and face painting in a youth zone.
Health services are also part of the event with free screenings and wellness resources available at a health & wellness zone. Local organizations will provide information about their services in a resource zone. Artisans and entrepreneurs from the area will showcase their products in a marketplace zone.
A documentary screening titled “A Taste of East Memorial Drive” is set for 4:00 PM with complimentary popcorn provided to attendees. At 5:00 PM, an awards ceremony will recognize outstanding members of the community through Good Neighbors Awards. Networking opportunities with refreshments are planned between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM.
“This festival is a celebration of community pride, resilience, and collaboration,” said CFTH leadership. “It’s an opportunity for residents, businesses, and local organizations to come together, honor the history of Memorial Drive, and envision a bright future for our neighborhood.”
Vendor booths are available ranging from $50 to $150 depending on location or amenities offered. Sponsorship packages provide exposure opportunities such as premium logo placement or naming rights for various event zones; levels range from Presenting Sponsor at $10,000 down to Friend of Memorial Drive at $500.
Interested vendors or sponsors are encouraged to register early due to limited space availability. Additional information can be obtained by emailing sponsorship@truthandhealing.org or visiting CFTH’s social media accounts @truthhealingorg on Instagram & Facebook.
The organizers invite all residents to participate in celebrating East Memorial Drive’s heritage while supporting local businesses and engaging with neighbors during this one-day event.
