Construction on Columbia Woods/Toney Drive to Replace Sewer Lines, Road Closures Announced
A sewer improvement project in DeKalb County will lead to road closures on several streets from September 29 through November 3. The affected roads include Toney Drive, Columbia Woods Drive, Glendale Drive, Saratoga Drive, and Thrasher Circle.
According to the county, the work involves replacing sewer lines and manhole structures as part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades. Detour signage will be installed to direct traffic around the closed areas. The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.
“Road closure and detour signs will be placed during the road closure to advise motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions,” stated officials. Normal construction hours are set for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. Residents should expect increased noise and traffic during these times.
For more information about the project or with questions, residents can call the DWM Project Information Line at 1-800-986-1108 or email projectinfo@dekalbcountyga.gov.
