DeKalb County will begin the Cliff Valley Sewer Improvement Project on Monday, October 13. The project will replace about 4,684 linear feet of ductile iron sewer pipe near Cliff Valley Way and will be divided into three phases: Phase IA, Phase IB, and Phase II, starting with Phase IA.

Construction is set to take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for major holidays. Increased noise and traffic are expected during these hours.
“This project is part of DeKalb County’s $4.27 billion capital improvement program to improve capacity and service of the watershed systems serving the community,” according to officials.

DeKalb County schools saw enrollment drop by 2.2% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, with a total of 98,287 students enrolled (https://www.gadoe.org/). White students made up 14% of the student body during that period (https://www.gadoe.org/).
