Recent reports have brought renewed attention to President Joe Biden’s use of note cards during public events and press conferences. According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, several hand-sized “palm cards” used by Biden included not only talking points but also photographs and biographical details of prominent Democrats such as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

The investigation into these materials emerged as part of a review of National Archive documents related to the administration’s use of an autopen. Of the five palm cards reviewed, four were marked with the disclaimer “PRESIDENT HAS SEEN.” One card reportedly contained a pre-submitted question from ABC News reporter Mary Bruce, labeled as “Question #3,” which read: “2024: How do YOU view the path forward? How do YOU think about YOUR place in history?”

Critics have raised concerns about the apparent coordination between members of the media and the White House regarding questions submitted in advance. Commentators on social media questioned who within the administration may have requested reporters provide their questions before press briefings.

Fox News reported: “Unearthed note cards from the Biden era show the administration detailed the names and photos of high-profile Democrats, such as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as well as lesser-known individuals for then-President Joe Biden to ostensibly reference during live events, documents obtained by Fox News Digital show.”

Another report stated: “Five different ‘palm cards,’ which are hand-sized note cards frequently used by politicians for quick reminders or talking points during public events, especially while on the campaign trail, were uncovered amid an investigation of National Archive documents related to the Biden administration’s use of an autopen, and obtained by Fox News Digital.”

The incident has prompted calls for further scrutiny into how questions are coordinated between journalists and government officials.
