AAHOA Members Convene with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer

0Comments

Last week, a group of AAHOA Members, including Vice Chairman Bharat Patel, met with Governor Gretchen Whitmer following a successful week advocating on Capitol Hill. The hoteliers discussed AAHOA’s impact in the state of Michigan, highlighting some of the data from AAHOA’s Oxford Economics study such as AAHOA Members owning 57% of the hotels in Michigan and a $6.3 billion contribution to the state GDP, before delving into a conversation on short-term rental issues. Our government affairs team is engaged with our state and national partners in addressing Michigan’s STR landscape, and we will keep members apprised of the latest updates. AAHOA thanks Governor Whitmer for her time and consideration.
